As part of the BRIC project on the Aulne Valley pilot site, Cerema has created a photographic exhibition on floods in the Aulne Valley.
The photographic exhibition on the floods of the Aulne is an exhibition of several panels tracing the historical flooding mainly in the downstream part of the Aulne catchment area, between Pleyben and Port-Launay.
The themes of the panels, in chronological order, are:
- “All together”
- “Recurrent floods”
- “A few hours to prepare”
- “Isolation”
- “Living with it”
- “Cleaning up”
- “Thanks”
These themes were chosen to show the characteristics of the floods or stages in their development.
The objectives of the photographic exhibition are to raise awareness of flooding, to pass on the memory of past events to newcomers, but also to encourage people to be better prepared for flooding.
The photographic exhibition was presented to the public for the first time on the occasion of the Aulne Festival: from 19 to 23 September at Polysonnance and on 24 September at 1 rocade de Parc Bihan in Châteaulin.
